(箴言 14:24)
“智慧人的財，為自己的冠冕．愚妄人的愚昧，終是愚昧。”
這節經文為我們展現了兩種截然不同的人生選擇與結果。
在聖經的處境中，智慧人就是那敬畏神、聽從神話語的人。當一個人願意按著神的原則行事，神會賜予他豐盛的生命。
跟着，還要加上一種生命的榮耀，如同冠冕一般，讓他的生命愈發美好。
相反，愚妄人指的是那些不敬畏神、心靈頑梗且不肯聽從神話語的人。對於這樣的人，即使他擁有財富或資源，由於他的生命完全離開了神的旨意，他無法將這些資源轉化為正面的價值。最終，這些東西只會顯露出他更深層的愚昧，讓他最終一無所有，人生走向歸零。
這節經文提醒我們，人生的抉擇決定了我們未來的道路。如果我們選擇敬畏神，就能得著神所賜的豐盛與榮耀；若我們拒絕神的話語，即使眼前的生活看似不錯，長遠來看也只是虛空。求主帶領我們，讓我們每天都選擇聽從祂的話語。

“The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.”
This verse presents to us two completely different life choices and their consequences. In the biblical context, a wise person is one who fears God and listens to His word. When a person is willing to act according to God’s principles, God grants them an abundant life. Following this, there is also a glory of life, like a crown, making their life increasingly beautiful.
On the contrary, a fool refers to those who do not fear God, whose hearts are stubborn, and who refuse to listen to God’s word. For such a person, even if they possess wealth or resources, because their life has completely departed from God’s will, they cannot transform these resources into positive value. Ultimately, these things only expose their deeper foolishness, leaving them with nothing in the end as their life drifts toward zero.
This verse reminds us that the choices we make in life determine our future path. If we choose to fear God, we can receive the abundance and glory bestowed by Him; if we reject God’s word, even if present life seems decent, it is merely vanity in the long run. May the Lord lead us, so that we choose to listen to His word every day.
